Tom Morrison, M.D.

Thomas J. Morrison III, M.D. is a neurosurgeon at Peachtree Neurosurgery specializing in neck and back surgery, and the correction of scoliosis and other types of adult spinal deformity. He subspecializes in minimally invasive surgical techniques. Although Dr. Morrison is a Georgia native from the historical and beautiful coastal city of Savannah.,he received his undergraduate degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts where he graduated Cum Laude. He attended medical school in Atlanta at the Emory University School of Medicine. He was a resident at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago and completed a Fellowship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in spinal deformity. Peachtree Neurosurgery welcomed him to the practice in 2004 and he earned his neurosurgery board certification by passing the American Board of Neurosurgery exams in 2008. Dr. Morrison continues to learn and develop his medical education as well as authoring publications on advancements in surgical techniques. He has participated in two research studies of cervical disc replacements.

Dr. Morrison continues to follow his passion for adult spinal deformity correction, serving as Principal Investigator for a research study on the effect of various implants on kyphosis following long instrumented spinal fusion.

Dr. Morrison resides in Atlanta with his wife Mara and their two children.
